Broken mirrors (or, really, any broken projects) always gave Yeorden headaches. Politicking always gave him worse headaches. Fortunately, guards were a simple, straightforward lot. He didn't expect overmuch in the way of trouble when he told the guardsmen from Crelek that a silver shortage would put their order back by a bit, and the missive he'd received by way of reply had, blessedly, been true to his expectations. There were some uses to those winged bothers, now and then. Just as long as the fool creature wasn't his. That resolved, he'd made himself scarce from his workshop with a well-worn note tacked to the door for any who might come looking for him. Few enough did that he expected nobody but perhaps Deavelyn would see it, but he'd agreed when he became a Collegium master to be available at need, and that meant posting the sharding thing. The note advised anyone who looked that he'd gone down to the Collegium kitchens, which was, to his mind, good enough, and really, hadn't he earned a little down time, maybe a hand or two of dragonpoker over a cup of klah? That was, at least, his intent as he found his way down to the kitchens with his deck in his pocket to usurp a steaming mug from the drudges. Klah in hand, he settled himself into a corner to observe his prospects for a game. It was long past time he had one.

Busy, busy busy. That was the life of a Healer. Or at least, that was how Ageomi supposed it was supposed to be after these last few days. Illnesses that progressed beyond what they should, a badly set break, a shortage of salves that a journeyman was supposed to oversee, and a novice who burned her arm badly. In fact, that one was probably the hardest to deal with. He hadn't seen the girl since then, and in truth, most people came back to him for a checkup or something like that. Either way, he'd find a way to check in on her soon. Regardless, as he trotted down to the kitchens to grab a cup of Klah, his mind, as always, continued down that path. It was unavoidable in the end, that he'd continue ever thinking, but it no longer bothered him that he did so. Stepping into the kitchen area, Ageomi glanced about, requesting a cup of Klah and perhaps something to eat. That was when he spotted Master Yeorden in the corner, and he nodded. Yeordan was Deavlyn's Master after all, so after he got his cup of Klah and a bite to eat, he walked over to the man, "Master Yeorden? A question for you."

Yeorden stared up at Ageomi for a long moment with a dead, glassy-eyed expression, mentally willing him to go away. When it didn't immediately work, he set down his cup carefully and tried again, thinking it just a little bit harder. When that still didn't work, he eventually sighed and gave up, leaning back to eye the Healer glumly. "Oh, fine," he groused, though lazily. It was obvious that his heart wasn't in it. "What is it?" Healers. They were the nosiest, most bothersome people. Why could they never manage to leave well-enough alone? Really! As if he didn't have enough to do avoiding the miserable socialite nonsense that pervaded this place, he had to be chased by Healers, too?

Ageomi stared at Yeordan for some time, before heaving a sigh. He knew this was what Yeordan would be like when he approached the man, so it was no use getting upset over it. Though...he couldn't quite help it either. This was irritating, but he'd at least do his duty if nothing else and move on with life, "I'll try to make it short and sweet." The Healer shrugged, glancing about the room as if looking for someone before frowning. Shaking his head, he looked down at Yeordan, "Your apprentice, Deavlyn is her name? She came to me for healing not too long ago, and I gave her orders to take it easy. I assume she handed you the note she had me write for her, but either way, I wanted to know how she was doing as I have yet to see her since then."

Yeorden stared blankly up at the Healer for a long moment, feeling faintly confused. What note? Healing? Take it easy? What in the world was this lunatic talking about? Deavelyn wasn't... Her face, twisted with shame and pain flashed through his mind, and his eyes narrowed. His lips thinned and pressed into a line, and he scooted back in his chair, pushing the opposite one out with his foot. "Sit," he prompted the Healer. "What healing? Tell me about this note - and what you mean by 'take it easy'."

Ageomi blinked. The man was quick, if nothing else. Judging by the look on Yeordan's face, Deavelyn had done what he had feared. Sitting down lightly in a chair at the table across from his fellow Mastercrafter, the healer nodded frankly. Frowning, he reached up to set his face in his chin with a sigh, "The look on your face tells me enough, and what I suspected. She didn't tell you a thing, did she." Ageomi's voice had taken on a droll note as his irritation rose. That girl! Was she an idiot? No, now that was unfair. Unworthy of him, probably wrong in assumption about her. Zeal was something the Masterhealer understood all too well, and after managing to get ahold of himself, he spoke, "Your apprentice came to me not too long ago. She had a nasty wound on her arm that went straigh through the gloves, and she was attempting to just get more salve from me rather than let me heal it. I saw what happened though, bandaged and treated it as well as gave her salves to ensure it continued to heal once she left my office. However, I also gave her orders to take it easy from work for a while. Essentially, do light to no work for several days, a sevenday at most. She requested a note from me on the matter to present to you, which I gave to her."

"And then she broke that sharding mirror, and Faranth forbid she be sensible for once in her fool life," Yeorden finished for him, snorting arrogantly. "Well, we'll sharding well see about that. You said a sevenday? Longer, since she ignored it, now, or still that?" Without awaiting a reply, he spun toward the entrance to the kitchens, scowling. It was about the time of day for everyone to be eating, and he knew that the Harpers were mad with acoustics in places like this, but truth told, he very much expected this particular stunt to be a waste of time. Still, it was likely that a drudge would run to fetch her if he just... Taking a deep breath and working up his most malevolent scowl, Yeorden bellowed at the top of his lungs, his voice echoing through the kitchens, "SHARD IT, DEAVELYN, GET DOWN HERE RIGHT NOW!"

"NOW...now...nw..nw...!" Echoed down the passage way.
A heartbeat later, footsteps pounded through the caverns peppered with "Excuse me!" "Pardon me!" "Need through!" There was some laughter, and it was clear Deavelyn was being teased about her angry master. Still, the girl made good time. She came to a skidding halt as she rounded the corner, her cheeks flushed, her ribbon askew, and her bandages unraveling from the nasty burn.
She took one look at Yeordan and Ageomi, and her face drained of color. She stood up straight, subtly tucking the injury behind her. "Here Master. Afternoon, Master Healer." She said politely, her voice trembling oh so faintly.

Taliene had well been searching about the Collegium at Sayer's request for a while now. Her trip to deliver the firelizard eggs had turned into what felt like an epic quest. If only the Master Harper could see her now, he'd probably laugh at her quite a bit before she found any form of respite. Regardless, it was respect for the Master of the Collegium that had her searching about like a delivery girl, all so that she could deliver two of the eggs she had brought with her at Syreaka's request as well. The harper sighed. Somedays it was frustrating to be her. In the air above her, Tremble chirruped cheerfully, as though unaware of his mistress's thoughts, or choosing to ignore them. They had just arrived into the kitchens, where the note on Master Yeorden's door had said he'd be when the firelizard chirpped again. A quick image flashed to her mind surprised the Harper for a moment. What luck! Yeorden and Ageomi were together, and as she rounded the corner, she sighed in relief. Thank goodness. This worked out to her advantage in the end! Striding forward, she was startled when Yeorden shouted out suddenly and what looked like a meeker apprentice strode up. The harper merely glanced back and forth. A bored Masterhealer, and upset MasterGlasscrafter and a glasscrafting apprentice from the looks of it. This didn't quite bode good things, and as her bronze landed upon her padded shoulder, the woman wondered what to do. Adjusting the pots she kept cradled in her arms, she opted to stand where she'd be noticed without interrupting. She could wait for the Mastercraftsmen to acknowledge her. Thank goodness she wore her journeyman's knots though...

Ageomi cooly looked over at Yeorden, unruffled by what looked like additional frustration from the man, "That much I cannot be certain of. I do not know the state of the wound since I saw it last, so I'd have to look at it. I did inform her that if she didn't take care of it, she could lose the arm. Burns like the ones she had can become infected if not cared for properly." The Masterhealer merely shrugged, shifting his gaze over when the aforementioned apprentice finally appeared. He quickly hide a moment of amusement, the girl was white as a ghost the moment she saw who was keeping company with her Master. It was almost like someone was putting on a comedy act, and he had a front row view of the entire thing, "Afternoon."

"Show him your arm, Deavelyn," Yeorden grouched grimly, grabbing his cup and eying her balefully. "And give me the note." Glancing around, he noted the crowd that had assembled and snapped loudly, "Scorch yourselves and find your rumors elsewhere. Disperse, you lot of tunnelsnakes! This doesn't involve you!" Grasping for someone to make an example of, his eye alighted on some fool harper - journeyman, if he read her knot right - and he pointed imperiously at her. "Go stare at another songster, girl. This isn't any of your business."

"Uhm...ahh...note! Yes, note!" She reached into the bag that was almost always at her side, pulled out the damaged glove, and from the glove, pulled out the note. "I'm sorry, Master."
Quickly, she undid the rest of the bandage, wincing a bit. She'd done what the healer had said to do...except for taking the work lightly, and the wound was covered in the required salves, glossy from the coating. Shame-faced, she held the arm out to the healer. She didn't bother trying to make an excuse to him. The note, that she had honestly (if conveniently) forgotten about, but reporting back to Ageomi? She'd never had the intention to go back there. She'd had burns before. She knew to keep them clean, salved and wrapped.

Taliene merely hugged the pots to her chest. Her day had been long, and now Master Yeorden was pointing at her with all the imperiousness in the world. She was slightly irritated, but let not a whit of that show. Of course, Treble ruined that for her by flitting down to the woman's shoulder, wrapping his tail about her neck, and glaring balefully at the man in a manner the Harper wouldn't have done. Frowning, the harper scent her lizard a mental thought that told him to hold off before she spoke, "Master Yeorden, I would. However, I'm here on official business from Master Sayer to speak with both you and Master Ageomi. I am willing to wait, but my time is relatively short. As such, I'm afraid I lack the time to be able to stare at another songster, and have opted to place my own songs on hold before I return to my post. When the business is finished, I will gladly take my leave." Tali was not in the mood to argue. She still had to find Searhioden before she left, and shards alive knew that L'chlan was probably growing impatient with waiting. The girl was clearly unaccostomed to such treatment from anyone. Tali inwardly sighed. She'd grown too used to everyone knowing who she was, knowing her own popularity or fame, and treating her in accordance with that. She'd better adjust quickly, however. She'd not have a chance otherwise. Either way, she refused to just back down. She had to deliver the eggs and then she'd be away. She spoke smoothly, her trained voice stating politely, "I have been up and down the collegium in search of you two, and I guarantee the errand that brings me here is short indeed. I shant take but a few minutes of either of your times. It's simply a delivery to both of you."

Ageomi was, customarily silent. This whole thing was starting to grow a bit bothersome, though he admitted he was still amused. Taking the time to look over at the girl's arm, he gently inspected it, even though he kept his face a mask of irritation at the girl for having caused the trouble to both her master and himself. However, as he looked over the wound, he nodded to himself. Clean, wrapped...his instructions were followed pretty well, however the work had not allowed the wound to heal, and he said as much with his next words, "The work has lengthened the healing process. The salves were applied correctly, but the arm will take longer to heal than it would have if instructions had been followed. She'll need several more days at least for this to be where work is permissible on a normal scale." He looked at Deavelyn with a frown. He knew she knew better. However, it was not his place to berate this apprentice. He'd let Yeorden do it. That was when he heard Yeorden shout, drawing his gaze over to the Harper nearby. Quirking an eyebrow, he listened to her words. Huh, she looked somewhat familiar...or was it how she talked. Either way, he pushed it from his mind and said, "Business?"

Yeorden listened first to Taliene, returning Treble's look scowl for scowl, and then to Ageomi, before turning his gaze down to the note and reading it over slowly, a pointed waste of the irritable girl's 'precious' time. If she was to be a burden, then he would be one in turn. Once he finished, he pocketed the note and turned to Ageomi. "It will be done," he promised the healer, casting a baleful scowl toward Deavelyn that spoke volumes of how sincerely he meant those words. That done, he tilted his head toward Taliene. "Well? Be on with it, then, girl. I've work to do."
