Time had passed quickly for Taliene. From the point of time that the Harpers had given her the assignment to now, she had been swept up in a whirlwind of preparations that had finally landed her in this somewhat spacious set of rooms at the Bivium Weyr where she was to teach, educate and all around help. Her duties were meant to switch her between the Collegium and Weyr so that she could fully gauge and record what occured as they occured. Frankly, it was going to be a difficult job. Taliene merely sighed, standing next to the desk in the teaching room as opened one of the packs and began organizing the records and scores she had brought with her. Each thing had its place, and she'd make sure that this part of her job would be easy as possible. The new job she had possessed endless possibilities, and she was eager to see where it led. Her mind drifted like this for a while as she put things away in this daydreaming state. She hefted another of her sacks onto a nearby chair was was greeted with several squeals of protest. A little bronze firelizard quickly shot away from the chair, having been almost squashed. He began racously scolding the hapless Harper. "Oh drat, Treble!" Taliene's eyes widened as she leaned over the desk to stare at the irritated lizard. She stared at him sheepishly, a rosy hued blush staining her cheeks, "I am so sorry." The lizard glared before winging over to the mantle, landing before staring at her with his whirling eyes. Taliene sighed, walking over to pet the lizard softly, "I meant it you know." The little bronze soothed, Taliene walked once more to return to her sorting duties. This would take a while. It was a good thing she was dressed in an older pair of breeches and tunic. With her hair tied back as it was in a ponytail, she could have been mistaken as a drudge if not for the fact that her clothing was in Harper blue. But she would at least be able to get the job done without worrying about getting her nicer clothing dirty. She began to hum a catchy tune she was working on, just to fill the area with a bit of song in the meantime.

Pacify the newest Baker; Done.
Talk to that silly little drudge about the problems her green flit was causing; Done.
Supervise delivery of supplies; Done.
Greet the new Harper assigned to both Bivium and the Collegium; Oh...
Checking things off the little mental list she'd created earlier that morning, Sedelia came to a dead stop in the middle of a corridor as she realised that one of the more important parts of her list had utterly slipped her mind. She hadn't been entirely sure if the Harper was arriving today, or merely starting her duties today, but either way, Lia had meant to pop by the rooms she'd been assigned - now marked on Sedelia's plan of the Weyr as 'Teaching/Recording/Harper Room', after a somewhat frazzled morning a few sevendays ago when she'd been accosted by someone and asked to pick out a set of rooms they could spare - to say 'hello' and see if she needed any help, but those good intentions had utterly slipped her mind.
Deciding that her visit to the creche could wait, she changed directions, whistling to attract the attention of the canine bounding ahead of her. Delilah screeched to an abrupt halt, turning a confused look over her shoulder as she eyed Lia, tail wagging vaguely, but quickly caught up as the Headwoman turned down a different corridor, bounding alongside with enthusiasm. In a startling difference to the brown firelizard curled on Sedelia's shoulders, the canine was in constant movement, only keeping pace with her owner through frequent excursions to investigate interesting smells coupled with enthusiastic bounds to catch up.
Sedelia found herself smiling as she turned at yet another intersection with barely a second thought; however new she was around here, the layout of the Weyr was one of the first things that had sunk into her brain, after a few initial, somewhat embarrassing, moments of getting lost. Rounding a final corner, she became aware of a catchy melody drifting out of the open door of the little suite the Harper - whose name Sedelia found herself unable to remember - had been assigned, and her smile widened. Sounded like someone was definitely in.
Poking her head around the door, she began cheerfully: "Hello - I'm sorry I wasn't here earlier to greet you: it completely slipped my mind." Edging into the room with a confidence born of liking people, she offered the other woman a friendly grin. "I'm Sedelia, Bivium's Headwoman, and I was just coming down to check that everything's alright." She took a look around at the cleared room. "Hope the rooms are suitable; we weren't quite sure what you'd need but we thought the central location of these would be good..."
As she talked, Delilah had taken the opportunity to bound straight in and directly up to the other human occupant of the room, planting herself squarely in front of her with an upturned head and gently waving tail, clearly begging to be stroked. "And that's Delilah," Lia answered, "Come on, Del, don't bother people who are working." The canine backed off a few steps, turning a hopeful look upon both her person, and her new acquaintance: she was just making friends... how could that be bad?

Taliene was efficient as ever, organizing as she went about, making sure everything was as perfect as she could absolutely make it before she went to do anything else. With a satisfied nod, the croon of the bronze on the nearby table caught her attention, causing her to laugh, "Ok Treble, where's Mezzo?" The lizard crooned curiously, so Tali spoke again, "No, where is he?" That was when a head poked around the door, causing the harper to turn around. Smiling, the girl tilted her head cheerfully at Sedelia, "Why hello there! It's quite alright, I do not take any offense at all. I completely understand. Honestly, I'm glad I wasn't bombarded. It gave me time to get things done." The woman grinned as Treble crooned a welcome to the lizard upon Sedelia's shoulders. That was when a little blue head poked around the corner of the desk, squaked at Delilah and hid again, poofing before reappearing on top of the shell in the room with eyes whirling a more urgent speed. The Harper sighed at her little blue, then smiled down at Delilah, petting the canine gently, "My wonderful Headwoman, these accomodations are perfect. The window at my room a fantastic touch, and the room is certainly spacious enough for a teaching room. It is I who owe you all the thanks in the world for making it wonderful as it is. I'm thrilled that the time I've been here so far is just filled with all the things that show evidence of just that kind of touch. Once more, Thank you."
