Harper, tell me of the road... Username: Wildfire Character Number: 2nd Name: Yukiro (Y'kiro when he impresses) Age: 18 Birth Season: Summer Gender: male Location: Bivium weyr Rank: Candidate/ senior apprentice smith Candidate for: Dragon That leads beyond this hold... Appearance: Standing at 5'6" Yukiro is average for his height. He has shaggy blonde hair that is always messy. He rarely takes the time to brush it since he likes to stay in the forge all day. He tends to wear comfortable clothing in softer shades. His blue eyes are deep set and piercing. He has fair skin that burns easily. He is lean of build with strong broad shoulders. His muscles are from his work in the smithy. That wends its way around the hill... Personality: Yukiro is hot-tempered, but really only if you give him a valid reason to be. He's actually good at heart, and extremely loyal. However, he also has a short attention span due to his ADD, and because of that he'll tend to overlook the small details. He's also extremely stubborn, and if he as a goal in mind, he'll do what it takes to succeed. Of course, because of his short temper, he tends not to think things through and just rushes in. This gives him the habit of getting into trouble more often then not. Does it go farther on until... History:Born to a well off smith and his merchant wife in Fort Hold, Yukiro was the baby of the family with three older siblings (two sisters and one brother) ahead of him. An active child, he was always getting into mischief whether it was messing with apprentices or playing pranks. He was almost always willing to face the consequences and seemed to know when he was in over his head. He apprenticed to be a smith at ten, following his father, though, at first he wasn't sure how much he'd like it. His sisters went to be weavers and his brother went to be a miner. Four years later he had come to discover, through hard work and determination, that he actually enjoyed working with the metal. He wasn't especially gifted, but he enjoyed the work. His mother gave him a firelizard egg as a reward for reaching senior apprenticeship shortly after his sixteenth birthday. It hatched to reveal a stunning and demanding gold that Yukiro dubbed Sunfire. Now, at eighteen, he is still working on reaching his journeyman status. He was searched by a rather insistent blue, who was certain he would impress a dragon. He has stood at two hatchings at Fort Weyr, without luck so far, but hasn't quite given up. He was only recently moved to Bivium to stand as a candidate. He isn't sure what to think of the new colors, though he isn't opposed to them. It ends in sunset gold? PetsName Sunfire Age 2 Appearance A large gold firelizard, Sunfire is a butter yellow gold with splotches of a darker bronze-gold scattered across her hide. She is average as far as build goes though built on a slightly bigger scale than most golds. Personality A vain, demanding, bossy, and arrogant creature, she is a queen and she knows it. She doesn't like others messing with her pet and any new person Yukiro meets has to go through her. She typically takes longer to accept girls than boys and really doesn't like females hanging around her pet unless she's approved them. Are there any colours you will not accept? No Are there any colours you would prefer? Why? No preference Canon-only? No Queen-only? n/a

Anacheth Color: Brown (5e3d1d-9c815c) Impressed to: Y'kiro (Yukiro) Appearance: This sporting brown has a jovial, gamboling demeanour even as a hatchling, and surprising grace for such a young creature. He moves with an easy, toddling gait, not graceful, perhaps, but very steady, his wings carefully folded out of the way. His build is stocky and faintly rolly, with broad wings and a pudgy tail. It seems unlikely that he'll ever grow into a graceful creature, ground-bound, but with wings such as his, once he grows into them, he will likely swim through the skies. He will certainly never pull off the aerial acrobatics of a green or blue, but there will be a decided fluidity to his movements which he lacks on the ground. His hide is smooth and unblemished, a warm, middling brown, separated by a clear demarcation from the tawny colour of his underbelly. His cheeks, stomach, tail, and snout are all markedly paler than the rest of his hide, giving the sturdy brown a patterning faintly reminiscent of a tunnelcat. Personality: steady, calm, helpful, positive, outgoingLike many browns, the most obvious trait Anacheth possesses is decidedly steadiness. Not one to boast the unshakable stoicism of his larger brethren or the quiet, stony sureness of his smaller, Anacheth is, instead, simply very present, as immovable and real a fact as the eye and finger stones at Benden or the comfortable walls of Fort. Nothing can budge the small brown hatchling, and nevermind his youth. This is due, in no small part, to the air of calm placidity he seems to exude. Almost as if to counterpoint the excitability of his rider, the brown sports an unshakable contentment that stirs to no unnecessary action. It cannot be called laziness, for the slightest need will swiftly draw him to action. Rather, it is a peaceful conservation that seems to quiet the world around him. If there can be said to be any one great failing of Anacheth's, it is very much his absolute need to help, whether his assistance is wanted or not. If there is a thing to be done, he will cheerfully do it. If there is trouble of any sort for anyone, he is the first one on-site to rectify it. If there is any aid of any kind to be rendered to any person, he is happy to render it, and if someone should make the grievous error of refusing his help, the poor hatchling quickly becomes heartbroken and slinks off, wings folded, tail curled tightly about himself, to pout. Even the fiercest pout can't hold the hatchling for long, however. He seems unfailingly full of positive quips and an unending supply of good cheer. Generosity, kindness, optimism, and a welcoming demeanour seem engrained into his very nature and remain omnipresent in everything he does. Storm clouds only mean rainbows, and even death just means new life. There is nothing and no-one truly bad in the world. ...Is there? Well, if there is, it can be safely presumed that, eventually, Anacheth will find it, and within minutes, have learned exactly the why and how of it. It isn't that he's a particularly brilliant dragon - he's not. It's simply that Anacheth may be the most social, outgoing brown to ever grace the skies of Pern. There is no one too low-born, too young, too old, too high-born, too rare, too special, too common, or too anything else to stop him for five seconds from chatting away cheerfully until his poor, hapless victim finally begs off and flees, just to stow the constant stream of chatter and questions. It isn't meant to be obnoxious. Truly, it isn't. He simply doesn't know when to stop, and desperately wants to be everyone's friend.
