The Bowl The herdbeast pen, the lake, and the training grounds fill up almost the entire space of the small bowl in the center of the Weyr, but there's still enough room to move around, and the facilities, for all that they're small, are sturdily constructed and sound, and the lake itself is a thing of true beauty, generally seen as well worth sacrificing some bowl space for. A waterfall cascades down a ten foot drop into a deep, broad lake. The bottom of the lake is sandy almost a full fifteen feet in before giving way to thick weeds, making it a pleasant swimming environment and an excellent source of fish for the various carnivorous creatures of the Weyr. |

The Lower Caverns Kitchens, store rooms, the main dining hall, the feast hall, chambers for drudges and cavernsworkers, the creche, and the archives all fill the belly of the Weyr, and both tend to be alive with activity. The Weyrs Every rider and senior weyrling is allotted a private Weyr, based on first the size of the dragon, and second on the rider's rank and preferences. |

The Sanctum Containing the offices of the Weyrwoman, Weyrleader, Wingleaders, and Headwoman, this chamber is massive and round, with several branches leading off to the various offices. The main chamber is dominated by a large table around which conferences are held when major events need to be discussed. |

The Barracks Junior weyrlings and candidates are housed in barracks. The candidate barracks consist of two long, narrow chambers with cots on either side, one for the boys and one for the girls. Each cot has a chest for personal items tucked underneath. At the rear of each candidate barrack is a large chest filled with white robes in various sizes and a myriad of rope belts, from which candidates can draw for the hatching. The junior weyrling barracks consist of five large chambers, each one containing ten cots. Beside each cot is a stone sleeping platform for the growing dragonets. As a hatchling outgrows its platform, it and its rider are moved up to a larger location until the dragon is capable of flight and the weyrling pair is awarded their own weyr. |

The Sands The hatching sands of Bivium Weyr run to the smaller end, compared to those of Eastern and Western Weyrs, but are still large and spacious enough to fit even a decently sized clutch and its mother, although a big enough one would likely crowd the sands. Seating surrounds the sands for visitors and observing riders, and the bowl, candidate barracks, kitchens, lower caverns, and wher chambers all emerge into the sands, allowing swift, easy access in the event of a hatching. |

The Square Delant's market district dominates one side of the main square, but outside of Gather days, most of the rest of the square is open, making it a nice, easy-access place for people to do business, children to play, major announcements to be made, and life in general to go on. Valshir Hold Valshir Hold still tithes to Bivium and (grudgingly) provides candidates when called for, but there is no question that the quality of tithes has been dropping, of late. Located at the shoreline, Valshir is a port Hold, known for both its steady trade with the mainland and the resources brought in by its numerous fishing trawlers. |
